Head Baker

We are currently seeking an experienced Head Baker with a good work ethic to join our growing team in a full time capacity. 

Reporting to and working directly with our world class fine dining Executive Pastry Chef, the key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and developing new products & recipes
  • Baking sourdoughs, baguettes, fruit bread and a wide variety of breads
  • Communicate and lead the overnight baking team 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar position.
  • Attention to detail and consistency 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • The necessary trade qualifications.

Operationally you will be involved in:

  • All aspects of food and beverage service
  • Greeting, set-up, serving guests, pack-down, and other related services.
  • Ensuring that the food service areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.

To be successful in this role, you will need

  • Proven experience in a boardroom, hospitality venue or 5 star hotel operation 
  • Excellent grooming & personal presentation
  • Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
  • Friendly & energetic attitude with an engaging and a friendly personality being essential
