Head Baker

We are currently seeking an experienced Head Baker with a good work ethic to join our growing team in a full time capacity. 

Reporting to and working directly with our world class fine dining Executive Pastry Chef, the key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and developing new products & recipes
  • Baking sourdoughs, baguettes, fruit bread and a wide variety of breads
  • Communicate and lead the overnight baking team 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar position.
  • Attention to detail and consistency 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • The necessary trade qualifications.

We are currently looking for a hardworking, reliable person with a good work ethic to join our bakery team in a full-time permanent capacity.

Having exposure to many areas of modern pastry and dessert work, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills, working under a world class fine dining pastry chef in a fully equipped professional catering facility.

Providing First and Business class food to two major airlines, this position will involve the following:

  • Leading and supervising the Plating Team and overall production of plating for all airlines meal orders in a timely manner
  • Ordering of stock and packaging as required
  • Prepare rosters and facilitate staff training
  • Ensure that the preparation of food is hygienic and prepared in accordance with company quality standards, Food Safety Standards, and HACCP requirements.
